Virga - 2007, 36’x18’x15’, blown glass and steel cable

This project was commissioned by Embarcadero Capitol Partners LLC. The project involved creating a site specific sculpture for an office building at 1300 Shoreway Road in Belmont, CA. The sculpture has 24 large blown glass elements which are suspended on steel cable under skylights in the atrium of the building.  The height of the ceiling is 46 feet. The glass elements are arranged to hang in ascending rows from 10 feet above the floor to 36 feet at the highest point.
