Tree of Life - 2008, 16’x10’x8’, stainless steel, blown glass

        

This piece was commissioned by Woodland Healthcare for a new medical office   

building at 632 Gibson Road in Woodland, CA.

This sculpture was fabricated using stainless steel pipe and rod to create a tree form

that holds 36 blown glass elements on its branches.  I worked with the building

contractor and engineer to design a concrete base which had a sleeve for the
sculpture to fit into.  The sculpture was welded in place after installation.
